Rectangular orange fob plate on a split ring, hole at the top

This kit is one object and the hardware that keeps it on a park bag: a rectangular fob plate, a zipper pull, a bag clip, and a lanyard. You read the plate on a hotel hook after I-4. You fish it from a zipper at a gate. You clip it so sunscreen, pool chlorine, and a wet bottle never swallow the face.

Four pieces, one job

Fob
A park-bag fob plate on a split ring.

The plate is the kit. Rounded corners, a hole, a face that can take a short line of type. It rides a ring. A zipper pull is how that plate joins a high zipper so the face is findable without emptying the main compartment. A bag clip is how the set stays with the bag when Walt Disney World’s property rules put bags, parcels, and clothing in reach of screening. A lanyard is the carry when a hip pocket is about to be emptied. And the honest home for that cord is the bag.

Clip. Holds the plate to a strap, zipper pull, or interior loop. When the main compartment opens at a gate, the set is still on the bag.

Zipper pull

Zipper. Quiet version of the same idea: the plate rides a high zipper, out of the drip line of a bottle, edges kind to fabric.

Breakaway. A catch meant to give under pull. Clip it to the bag. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s publication 5095 is the public page for cords around young necks.

How to hang the plate

Heat, sunscreen, chlorine

NWS Melbourne, covering Orlando, treats the heat index as temperature plus humidity. Full sun can add up to 15°F. A Heat Advisory is 108°F to 112°F; an Extreme Heat Warning is 113°F or higher. Metal on a sunlit strap will be hot. A zipper pocket is shade.

Sunscreen lives in the same bag. A smear on a leather tab is a week of tack. A plate with kind edges and a high pocket stays readable. Hotel pools on International Drive add chlorine to whatever hardware rode the strap from the park to the room. Rinse the clip if it went in the water. Hang the bag in afternoon air-conditioning so the plate dries facing out.

The bag that goes through a park gate

Disney’s published cap for theme-park and water-park bags is 24 inches by 15 inches by 18 inches. Screening may cover persons, bags, parcels, and clothing. Put the named plate in a zipper pocket or on a clip so a dump onto a table does not scatter the set. A luggage tag is a cousin. Also a rectangle you can read when a bag hangs. But the park-bag fob is smaller, on a ring, meant for the zipper or the clip through a park week, then a room off I-Drive, downtown, or Lake Nona.

Clip versus cord is the other job. Read fob plate vs lanyard. Families: catalog. More kits: park-bag kits.
